Tap-tap
Tap-Tap is the name for buses or pick-ups that are used as shared taxis in Haiti . Another name in Haiti is the French word camionette .
Tap-tap means quick-quick in Haitian Creole . The vehicles are lavishly painted, the motifs used include depictions of pop stars, footballers and relatives who live abroad and who have financed the vehicles.
Tap-taps serve fixed routes and only start when all seats are occupied. If you want to get out, you knock on the body to make the driver stop.
