Purépecha ( Phorhépecha , also Taraskish ) is an isolated indigenous language of North America . It is mainly found in the Mexican state of Michoacán and is spoken by around 136,000 Purépecha .

The dialectal differences are relatively large, especially the highland dialects have only 70% lexical agreement with the main dialect.
