Tarek Helmy (born January 19, 1975 in Berlin ) is a German voice actor and actor .

life and work

Helmy is the son of an Egyptian and a German. He is married, has two daughters and lives in Berlin .

In 1982 Helmy was discovered by a casting scout in front of the school in Berlin-Charlottenburg and between 1983 and 1986 he played the youngest son of the Schumanns in the ZDF series I will marry a family . His sister Ranja could also be seen here, but only in a brief appearance. Further series roles followed in Ein Heim für Tiere (1985) and How good that there is Maria (1990). Later Helmy worked as a voice actor and at the same time as a musician. As a rapper , he performed under the stage name MC Potna Pot in the hip-hop band Kinzmania. For a few years now, Helmy has withdrawn more and more from the stage and works as a music producer.

Helmy's sister Ranja Bonalana and niece Valentina Bonalana also work as voice actors .

Voice actor

Helmy spoke for example Wil Wheaton in Stand by Me or Jeff Cohen in The Goonies . In the sitcom A Strong Family , he spoke to John Thomas Lambert (JT), played by Brandon Call , as the successor to Boris Kretschmer and Mario Kretschmer .
