The Targo insurers are operating in Germany insurers based in Hilden, consisting of the two companies Targo Lebensversicherung AG and Targo Versicherung AG. The companies are part of the Talanx Group , which includes various insurance companies, HDI , Hannover Re and asset manager Ampega . The Targobank is the exclusive partner of Targo Versicherungen since the beginning of the cooperation. The insurance products are primarily sold through Targobank.

history
Targo Insurance was founded in 1985 as KKB Lebensversicherung under KKB Bank . When KKB Bank was taken over by Citibank in 1991 , the name changed to Citi Life Insurance. A year later, Citi Insurance was founded for products in the property sector. In 1996, as part of a long-term cooperation between Talanx and Citibank, the owner and name of what was then Citi Versicherung changed to CiV Versicherungen. In 2008 Citibank was sold by the then largely unknown French banking group Credit Mutuel . Two years later, both Citibank and CiV Insurance were renamed. They have been called Targobank and Targo Insurance since 2010.
Talanx Group
Targo Insurance is part of the Private and Corporate Insurance Germany division in the Talanx Group. The Bancassurance company, i. H. to be assigned to the sale of insurance products via the bank counter . The domestic banking partnerships of the Talanx Group are pooled there.
