Tarō Hasegawa ( Japanese 長谷川 太郎 , Hasegawa Tarō ; born August 17, 1979 in Tokyo Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Hasegawa learned to play football in the youth team of Kashiwa Reysol . He signed his first contract in 1998 with the Kashiwa Reysol. The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 1999 he won the J.League Cup with the club . For the club he completed 19 first division games. In 2002 he moved to the second division club Albirex Niigata . For the club he completed 12 games. In 2003 he moved to league competitor Ventforet Kofu . At the end of the 2005 season, the club rose to the J1 League. For the club he completed 84 games. In August 2007 he moved to the second division side Tokushima Vortis . For the club he completed 23 games. In 2008 he moved to league rivals Yokohama FC . For the club he completed 14 games. In 2009 he moved to the third division New Wave Kitakyushu (today: Giravanz Kitakyushu). At the end of the 2009 season, the club rose to the J2 League .
