Tatiana Salem Levy (born January 24, 1979 in Lisbon ) is a Brazilian writer.

Life

Tatiana Salem Levy's grandparents come from Turkey and emigrated to Brazil. During the military dictatorship in Brazil , Levy's parents fled to Portugal, where Tatiana was born. At the end of 1979 the family was able to return to Brazil due to an amnesty. She studied literature at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro . In 2002 she received her doctorate from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro with a dissertation on the French literary theorists Maurice Blanchot , Michel Foucault and Gilles Deleuze .

Levy initially published some short stories. In 2007 her novel A Chave de Casa was published . For the Frankfurt Book Fair 2013 the short story Tempo Perdido was translated into German and published in an anthology of Brazilian literature.
