Tatsuru Mukōjima ( Japanese 向 島 建 , Mukōjima Tatsuru ; born January 9, 1966 in Shizuoka Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Mukōjima learned to play soccer on the school team of Shizuoka Gakuen High School and the university team of Kokushikan University . He signed his first contract with Toshiba in 1988 . The club played in the second highest league in the country, the Japan Soccer League Division 2. In 1988/89 he was with the club champions of Division 2 and rose to Division 1. For the club he completed 61 first division games. In 1992 he switched to Shimizu S-Pulse . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 1992 and 1993 he reached the final of the J.League Cup. In 1996 he won the J.League Cup with the club. For the club, he completed 85 first division games. In 1997 he moved to the second division side Kawasaki Frontale . In 1999 he was with the club master of the J2 League and rose to the J1 League. At the end of the 2000 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League. For the club he completed 70 games. At the end of 2001 he ended his career as a football player.
