The pigeon tower (French colombier or pigeonnier ) in Bazoges-en-Pareds , a French commune in the Vendée department in the Pays de la Loire region , was built in the 16th century. The pigeon tower has been on the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique since 2003 .

The round tower made of quarry stone masonry has nests inside in 1980. The landlord owned 300 hectares of land, which is why he was allowed to build a pigeon tower of this size next to his castle.

The pigeon nests inside are 50 cm deep and have been regularly disinfected with lime.
