Manoir de Vaujoyeux pigeon tower
The pigeon tower (French colombier or pigeonnier ) of the Manoir de Vaujoyeux in Planguenoual , a former French commune in the Côtes-d'Armor department in the Brittany region , is the only building of the former manoir that still exists today. The pigeon tower , which is located about 500 meters west of the village, has been on the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique since 1982 . The pigeon tower was first mentioned in a sales deed in 1510.
The stone building with the unusual floor plan of a quatrefoil is covered by stone roofs and in the middle of these four round towers is surmounted by a pyramid roof , in which there is access for the pigeons.
