Baptismal font in Bellefond

The baptismal font in the church of St-Eutrope in Bellefond , a French commune in the Gironde department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , was created in the 14th century. In 1908, the Gothic baptismal font was added to the list of listed objects ( Base Palissy ) in France as Monument historique .

The 1.22 meter high baptismal font, which comes from a destroyed chapel, stands on a polygonal base that is decorated with ribbons. The hexagonal pool was created from a block of stone. The decorations on all sides are reminiscent of Gothic tracery windows .
