The megalithic complex of Taversoe Tuick , (Orcadian: Taiverso Tooack ) is a two-story chamber tomb on the south side of the Orkney island of Rousay , near the Trumland Pier, overlooking the Wyre Sound. In its kind is that on 3000 BC. The complex built on a hillside, dated to the 4th century, is absolutely unique. There is only a second two-story facility. It is on flat terrain near Huntersquoy on the neighboring island of Eday .

Taversoe Tuick was planned from the outset as a two-story facility, with floor plans that differ on both levels not only from the neighboring Blackhammer and Knowe of Yarso facilities , but also from all Orcadian facilities. The upper entrance is on the north side, while the lower one is on the southern slope. The upper chamber consists of three cross-shaped, asymmetrical areas of different sizes, some of which are divided by dividing plates. The lower chamber, which is transverse to the aisle, is symmetrically divided into two compartments opposite the entrance and two head niches at the ends of the chamber. Today you are not allowed to enter the lower entrance due to the risk of collapse. Outside the complex, next to the south entrance, there is another tiny chamber, which apparently was created at the same time and also has no counterpart in the British Isles .

Taversoe Tuick was discovered during earthworks in 1898 by the owner of Taversoe House and excavated by Lieutenant General Frederick William Traill-Burroughs . It was published in 1902 by William Turner. The grave was placed under protection in 1934 and re-excavated in 1937 by Walter G. Grant.

Nearby are the Blackhammer , Knowe of Lairo , Knowe of Ramsay , Knowe of Yarso and Midhowe Cairn facilities .
