Tawfiq Abu l-Huda

Tawfiq Abu l-Huda ( Arabic توفيق أبو الهدى, DMG Taufīq Abū l-Hudā ; * 1894 in Acre ; † July 1, 1956 in Amman ) was a Jordanian politician who held the office of Prime Minister several times .

On September 28, 1938 he was first appointed Prime Minister of Jordan (then officially Transjordan as a former part of the British Mandate Palestine ), this term of office lasted until October 15, 1944. He held the office three more times: on December 28, 1947 to April 12, 1950, from July 25, 1951 to May 5, 1953, and from May 4, 1954 to May 30, 1955.

On July 1, 1956, he was found dead in his home in Amman, indications suggest that he committed suicide .
