The Team NoA was founded by Jonas "bsl" Alsaker international e-sports - Clan and was occasionally considered the best Counter-Strike team in the world. The founding members came from Norway and America. The name NoA does not stand for Norwegians of America , as is often claimed, but has no special meaning according to the players. Team NoA caused a stir with the first transfer fee ever paid in esports , namely for the Norwegian Ola "elemeNt" Moum to SK Gaming .
End of 2007 merged Team NoA, no longer directed at the time of the original founders, but a German marketing agency, with the German clan mTw . The Danish Counter-Strike team, which was considered one of the strongest teams in the world, became mTw International , the other sections of Team NoA were not taken over.
