The Tech Crags are about 1000 m high and rugged mountain ridge on the Antarctic Ross Island . It rises 3 km south of Williams Cliff and marks a slope on the north flank of the broad Turks Head Ridge .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2000 after the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology ( New Mexico Tech ) in Socorro , from which numerous students conducted research on Mount Erebus under the guidance of the New Zealand geochemist Philip Raymond Kyle (* 1947) had carried out.
