Tegeates
Tegeates ( Greek Τεγεάτης ), son of Lycaon , is a figure in Greek mythology .
He was a grandson of Pelasgos and founder of the Arcadian city of Tegea . His wife was Maira , a daughter of Atlas , with whom he fathered the sons Skephros and Leimon . According to an Arcadian version of the legend, he was also the father of Kydon , Archedios and Gortys , who founded cities on Crete , whereas the Cretans ascribed different fathers to these three city-founders.
