Tekapo Ridge is a crescent-shaped and 5 km long mountain range of slightly raised peaks on the Antarctic Ross Island . In the Kyle Hills it extends in a southwest-northeast orientation from Scanniello Peak to Parawera Cone .
The New Zealand Geographic Board named it in 2000 after the New Zealand town of Lake Tekapo , where New Zealand scientists are being prepared for their stay in Antarctica .
