The FK FC TEKSTILSHCHIK KAMYSHIN ( russ . Текстильщик Камышин ) is a Russian football club from Kamyshin .

history

The association was founded in 1956. Tekstilschtschik Kamyshin was one of the founding members of the newly created Russian Supreme League after the collapse of the Soviet Union and spent five years in the Russian top football league from 1992 to 1996 . In the 1993 season , the club reached fourth place in the first Russian football league as the best result in the club's history. Through this success Tekstilschtschik took part in the UEFA Cup season 1994-95 and reached the second round, in which they were subject to FC Nantes . In 1997, the team took part in the championship of the first division (second division), but immediately had to start the bitter course in the second Russian division (third division). In 2007, the team from Kamyshin relegated to the Russian Amateur Football League , thereby losing their professional status. Since 2009 the club has only participated in the regional championship of the Volgograd Oblast .
