Perwenstwo PFL

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Perwenstwo Professionalnoi futbolnoi ligi ( Russian Первенство Профессиональной футбольной лиги ) "Championship of Professional Well futbolnaja league ", 1998-2013 2nd Division until 1997 2. League , is the third professional Russian football -Spielklasse and is organized by the Russian Football League . The league is roughly divided geographically into five zones: West (northwestern part of European Russia), Center (northern / eastern part of European Russia), South (southern part of European Russia), Ural- Povolschje (southern Urals and western Siberia ) and East (the rest of Siberia ).

The number of teams in the league changes depending on the year, and the number of teams has always fluctuated, even in the current season, as clubs have always been excluded from play. The 2009 season started with 81 participants, but a total of six were excluded during the season due to violations of the rules of the league - not appearing in away games, no salary payments or referee bribery. The group winners automatically move up to the Perwenstwo FNL , while the bottom of the group move down to the amateur league and lose their professional status. 1994–1997 there was a further semi-professional level for a short time under the then 2nd division , the 3rd division .

The division of the groups is roughly based on the geographical conditions, border clubs can be divided into different relays depending on the field of participants of the individual relays, so the clubs from Moscow and the surrounding area are divided between the western and central relays.
