The FK Irtysch Omsk ( Russian Футбольный Клуб Иртыш Омск , Futbolny Klub Irtysch Omsk ) is a Russian football club from the Siberian city of Omsk . It was founded in 1946 and plays in the 2nd division .
history
The club is one of the oldest and most popular clubs in Siberia. Between 1946 and 1949 the club played in the top division of the USSR . The club played its first game as Klylja Sowjetow on June 9, 1946 against Prokopjewsk , Omsk won 6-0. From 1947 to 1948 the club appeared as the "team of the Baranowwerk". From the 1949 season the club was called Bolsheviks and ended the season as eleventh of 14 teams. After this season, the club took a break and only played amateur games. The 1957 season played the club as Krasnaya Zvezda . At the end of 1957 the club was in fourth place in class B, the second highest league in the Soviet Union, in the Far East zone. A year later, the team changed their name again, this time in Irtysh . From 1958 to 1965 the club played in the Far East Class B Zone. He was twice champion, 1960 and 1965 and also twice second, 1963 and 1964. From 1966 to 1969, therefore, could be played in the second group of class A. There the gold medal was won in the fourth subgroup. In the final among the winners of all four subgroups, only the worse goal difference "Irtysh" dropped to 3rd place. Between 1970 and 1991, the club played with the exception of the 1981 season, which he played in the first division (2nd division), in the second division (3rd division) of the Soviet Union. In 1981 the Cup of the Russian Socialist Federal Soviet Republic could also be won. After 1991, the team played in the 1st division from 1992 to 1995 . Stadion
FK Irtysh Omsk plays its home games in the Krasnaya Swjesda stadium, built in 1966 . The stadium holds 9,000 spectators, has natural grass and floodlights. Games during the 2009 lawn replacement and training sessions were / will be held in the Krasnaya Zvezda Manege, which can hold 3,000 spectators and was built in 2006 .
