The FK Metallurg Lipetsk ( Russian Футбольный клуб "Металлург Липецк" ) is a football club from the Russian city of Lipetsk . The club colors are black and red.

The association was founded in 1957 as Trudowyje Reserwy Lipetsk . Until the collapse of the Soviet Union , the team always played in the third highest division of the USSR. However, the club played in 1973 and 1974 in the second-rate Pervaya League . In 1992 the team was accepted into the second highest Russian league , where they spent two seasons. In 1993 Metallurg took 10th place in the table in its season and had to relegate to the 2nd division . Only in 1996 with the win of the relay championship in the 2nd division could the promotion be celebrated. Since relegation in 2009 , the club has been playing in the 2nd division again.
