The FK Lada Tolyatti ( Russian ФК Лада Тольятти ) is a football club from the Volga city of Tolyatti founded in 1969/70 . After a license withdrawal for the Russian 1st division (2nd division), the club has been playing in the Ural-Powolschje squadron of the 2nd division (3rd division) since 2008 . Lada’s greatest success was its entry into the Russian Cup semi-finals in 2003, as well as two years of excellence in 1994 and 1996, which ended, however, with immediate relegation as the worst team. In addition to the men's department, there was a successful women's team that won the Russian Cup three times in a row from 2002–2004 , 2004 champions , and 2002, 2003 and 2005 runner-ups. In the middle of the 2009 season, the team was disbanded.
history
The club was founded in 1969/70 by the Tolyattier AwtoWas plant under the name Torpedo Tolyatti , the tribe of players was formed by the footballers of the recently disbanded second division Metallurg Kuibyshev from today's Samara. At the end of the 1980s, the group renamed the club after its most important brand, Lada . In 1997, the name of the group was inserted for some time Lada-WAS Toljatti , which was subsequently simplified back to Lada.
As early as 1971, the club played in the third Soviet league, where the club remained until the end of the USSR . Lada began their Russian time in the second division when, as champions of the central Russian season in 1993, the team qualified for the promotion round, which Lada finished second and thus became first class in 1994 . But both in 1994 and after being promoted two years later in 1996 , the team was only last in the Premjer League and relegated again. Since then the club has been commuting between the 1st and 2nd division. For the 2007 season, the club was refused the license for the 1st division due to financial problems, since then he has been in the 2nd division, group Ural-Povolschje.
