The Telephone Rocks are a group of cliff rocks in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . They are located 2.5 km south-southwest of Demay Point off the west side of the entrance to Admiralty Bay on King George Island .
They are named after the SS Telefon , a cargo steamer built in 1900 under the Norwegian flag, which ran onto a reef off King George Island in 1908.
