Telegraph Creek is a small settlement ( unincorporated populated place ) in the northwest of the Canadian province of British Columbia at the confluence of the river of the same name in the Stikine River . The settlement is in the Kitimat-Stikine regional district and is the only permanently inhabited settlement on the Stikine River. The settlement consists mainly of several Tahltan reserves . A total of 254 people live in these reservations (Guhthe Tah 12, Telegraph Creek, Telegraph Creek 6, Telegraph Creek 6A).

The closest highway is Highway 37 , which can be reached via an approximately 110 km long gravel road in Dease Lake .

The community is one of the starting points to visit Mount Edziza Provincial Park .
