Telele is an elongated reef island in the southernmost reef rim of the Funafuti Atoll , Tuvalu .
geography
The island lies in the southern reef rim and is only separated from its western sister Motuloa by a narrow channel . Often both islands are referred to together as Telele. Telele widens towards the east end, where another change of direction of the reef edge is pending. At this corner lies the tiny island of Tefota and to the north, Funafala joins with the small settlement of the same name.
