The Temple St-Éloi is a church building in Rouen ( Seine-Maritime Department ) in France that serves a Reformed congregation within the United Protestant Church of France . The church has been a monument historique since 1911 .

history

The construction of the late Gothic church consecrated to St. Éloi de Noyon , which replaced a smaller previous building, began after 1500. First the choir and the adjoining three eastern bays of the nave were built. The five western bays followed in 1576, the western facade and portal finally in 1579/80.

From 1734 to 1742 Jacques Duphly was organist at St. Éloi.

The parish church was suppressed in the course of the revolution in 1791 and a factory was set up in the building in 1793. In 1803 the church was handed over to the Reformed.
