Temple of the Absurd was a German thrash metal band around the singer Sabina Classen .
Band history
Temple of the Absurd was founded in 1993 by Sabina Classen with the guitarist Schrödey. Soon afterwards the bassist Robert "Ozzy" Frese and later the electric guitarist Phil Vogelbein and the drummer Mike Rech joined the band. A first, self-titled demo was recorded in the Stage One Studios . In the same year the band played a concert at the Dynamo Open Air . In 1995 the debut album Absurd was released , first self-published, later by Warner Music . In 1997, Mike Rech left Temple of the Absurd for health reasons, and Phil Vogelbein and Robert Freese got out shortly afterwards. In 1999 the last album Mother, Creator, God was released with bassist Maurer and drummer Markus "Big M." Corby. In 2000 the band broke up after an accident involving Sabina Classen and the revival of Classen's main band Holy Moses .
