In running, speed tables are used to classify races correctly and are particularly useful in half marathon and marathon competitions. They contain intermediate times for certain distances (usually kilometers or miles), so-called split times, with which the runner controls his speed.

Speed ​​tables are mainly noted directly on the skin, the start number or a label that can be written on, but they are also available as self-adhesive tattoos. These are usually applied to the back of the hand or the forearm.
