Teresa Lorca

Teresa Lorca (born May 25, 1943 in Seville , Spain ; according to other information 1947) is a former Spanish flamenco dancer and actress . In the 1960s she became known as the Aztec Princess Karja with the films The Treasure of the Aztecs and The Pyramid of the Sun God, among others .

Life

Teresa Lorca was engaged as a flamenco dancer in a dance hall in Madrid . Through his brother Wolf Brauner , who was among the guests at a performance, the Berlin film producer Artur Brauner unceremoniously engaged Lorca as an actress for his planned Mexico adventure The Treasure of the Aztecs and The Pyramid of the Sun God . With her grandmother, Lorca traveled to Dubrovnik , where the filming took place. Here she met the French actor Gérard Barray , whom she later married. Lorca and Barray had two children. During her husband's career, she settled in Marbella , where she ran a boutique for years .
