Terlestenen, Smålands runinskrifter 73

The Terlesten is a rune stone in Skepperstad in the Swedish municipality of Sävsjö in Småland .

The damaged stone has stood east of Skepperstad Church on the cemetery wall since 1917 . It was originally set up in the swamp near the Terle Hut at the transition across the stream between the lakes Linnesjö and Skärsjön .

His inscription in straight rune ribbons shows that he is in the older rune stone style, the RAK style, which manages without image parts and in which the ribbon is written with smooth ends. Translated into German, the inscription means: Holme built this bridge in memory of his father Torgöt .
