Terry Deary
William Terence "Terry" Deary (born January 3, 1946 in Sunderland ) is a British writer .
In his 30 years as an author, he wrote 175 books that have been translated into 35 languages. Deary also wrote for television and theater, as well as some radio shows. He has been married since 1975 and has one daughter.

Prizes and awards
- In 2001 and 2002 he received the Blue Peter Book Award for children's literature in the "Best Book of Knowledge" category.
- In 2000 he received from the University of Sunderland , the Honorary Doctorate of Education.
