The Tersker is a Russian horse breed that descends from the Arabian horses . It is a sturdy small horse that was previously used as a light cavalry horse.

Exterior
Concave profile influenced by the Arabs, high neck, silky, not very lush tail hair, slender but very solid limbs, clever eyes and quite long sickle ears. Mainly mold, more rarely brown ones or foxes.

Combines gentleness and intelligence with hardness and fearlessness. Due to its great endurance and speed, the Tersker is used in endurance rides, races and jumping tournaments.
Breeding history
The Tersker comes from Russia , where he used to serve as a light cavalry horse. The breed originated in the 19th century from the crossing of Ukrainian mares and oriental stallions. In the time before the Second World War , Kabardines , Shagya Arabs , Don horses , English and Arabian thoroughbreds were crossed. In 1948 it was recognized as a separate breed.
