Devil's Church (Wetzlas)
The so-called Teufelskirche is a tower-like garden pavilion in early Classicist forms, which was built by the Teufl family in the fourth quarter of the 18th century. It stands on a slope in a forest aisle southwest of Wetzlas Castle .
The eight-sided , two-storey central building with a flat pyramid roof today has a viewing function due to its location and height. The ground floor is structured by a grooved plaster structure. The upper floor is broken through by arched openings , while ox eyes and two arched openings are located on the ground floor . The outside staircase leads over a double natural stone ramp . The eight-sided ground floor room with arched niches and two arched doors is a central room with a flat domed vault.
