The approximately 4.4 meter high wayside shrine in the pond field was built in 1858 in a classicist style. A cube-shaped part with three arched niches rests on a cube-shaped base above a rim. Above it rises a somewhat wider top with a tiled, pointed gable roof and a rectangular niche at the front in which a portrait of Joseph can be seen. Almost the entire back is covered by a raised white cross. At the top there is a simple wrought iron cross. |

The farm , located on the road to St. Leonhard am Hornerwald in the east of Wegscheid, is a former defense yard that was probably built around 1400 and first mentioned in a document in 1434. The single-storey rectangular building is surrounded by a quarry stone wall. In the course of a renovation in 1927, the former loopholes were expanded into windows. Inside there is a smoke kitchen and a bread oven with pyramid-shaped smoke outlets. |
