The Tevfik Sırrı Gür Stadı (also Tevfik Sırrı Gür Stadyumu , German Tevfik Sırrı Gür Stadium ) is a football stadium located in the Turkish city of Mersin in the province of the same name . It is just a few hundred meters from the city's Mediterranean coast. The playing field of natural grass of oval sports venue is a dirt track surrounded.
The stadium was built from 1946 to 1951 and named after the then provincial governor Tevfik Sırrı Gür . Mersin İdman Yurdu has played his home games in this stadium since the stadium opened. The last renovation took place before the 2011/12 season. It offers viewers 10,128 seats. After the city of Mersin received the Mersin Arena, an ultra-modern and pure football stadium , in March 2014 , Mersin İdman Yurdu moved into this stadium.
