Tevin Farmer (* 30th July 1990 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania , USA ) is an American professional boxer in the super featherweight and current (as of 9/2018) champion of the organization International Boxing Federation (IBF).

He is under contract with Lou DiBella and is trained by Raul Rivas .

Amateur career

Farmer completed a total of only 16 fights among the amateurs, of which he won 12 and lost 4.

Professional career

The southpaw began his professional career in 2011. In that year he played 6 fights. He lost two, including his first against Oskar Santana with a technical knockout in round 4. One ended in a draw and he won the other three.

In the following year, farmer Tim Witherspoon junior, the son of former WBA and WBC heavyweight world champion Tim Witherspoon , suffered another defeat against the undefeated Polish left wingman Kamil Laszczyk . He lost over 8 rounds by unanimous decision.

Farmer competed against Australian Billy Dib on August 3, 2018 for the vacant IBF World Championship and won high on points.
