Text Art. Magazine for creative writing is a German magazine for creative writing and all aspects of the writing trade. It appeared quarterly with a circulation of around 18,000. With issue 1–2 / 2018, TextArt appears under new editors.
history
The magazine was founded in 2000 by Oliver Buslau and Carsten Dürer based on the model of established American literary magazines such as B. Writer's Digest . In Germany, such magazines and writing guides were not taken seriously for a long time.
TextArt is one of the magazines dedicated to writing and publishing in the German-speaking area , alongside “ Federwelt ”, the specialist magazine for authors, and the newsletter “The Tempest”.
Content
The magazine prints specialist articles e.g. B. on tension, style, people, perspectives and exposé, as well as interviews with well-known and less well-known authors. Thriller writer Andreas Eschbach , crime novelist Nikola Hahn and numerous other authors have written for the magazine.
