Thérèse ( English Therese Island , French Île Thérèse ) is an island less than a kilometer off the west coast of Mahé , the largest island in the Seychelles. The island has a length of 1.6 km and an area of 0.739 km² (73.9 ha) and reaches a height of 160 m above sea level. Administratively it belongs, together with its neighboring island Conception , to the administrative district of Port Glaud .
Although the island has no permanent population, it is often visited by tourists, not least because of its long sandy beach in the northeast.
