Thailand Killer ( Thai : ปลุก มัน ขึ้น มา ฆ่า 4 , Plook mun kuen ma kah 4 , pronunciation: [ plùk-man-kʰʉ̂n-ma-kʰâː sìː ]; international title: Spirited Killer ) is a Thai martial arts film from the Year 1994. The film with stunt choreographer Phanna Rithikrai in the leading role of the wordless super fighter is the fourth part of an action film series that began in 1987 with Plook mun kuen ma kah .

The production is an early work by Panom Yeerum, who later achieved international fame under the pseudonym Tony Jaa . Jaa plays a supporting role here, although his likeness graced the international film posters due to better marketing opportunities (with set shots of Ong-Bak ). In addition, the production is not, as is often mistakenly assumed, the film debut of the future martial arts actor. Jaa made his debut at the age of 16 in สิงห์ สยาม , 1992.

The film was released on November 12, 1994 in Thailand and on April 16, 2009 in Germany (on DVD).

action

The unscrupulous charlatan Duang, a self-proclaimed faith healer with superhuman abilities, poisoned two residents of a small Thai provincial village with a "potion of immortality". The quack then tries to kill three men who could convict him of the perpetrator. But the project fails - a young man named Piak manages to escape to his home village, which is safe. When the village chief finds out about these activities, he organizes the hunt for the fugitive murderer. Eventually the wanted culprit is caught, mistreated and thrown half dead into a river.

Five years later, a mysterious super fighter appears in the remote region who kills innocent people with a stoic expression. The murderous stranger worries the village chief as there are also tourists in the area. When the foreign adventurers are attacked by the wordless monster, they ally themselves with the villagers against the marauding beast. Together they take action against the superhuman fighter who, however, decimates them one after the other with brute force. The few survivors retreat weakened when they meet Duang, who was believed to be dead. The villain wants to hold the villagers accountable. For his revenge, he once created the nameless monster.

The film ends with an unequal battle between the villagers and the inhuman villains. These can be defeated with a relic, the "Holy Sword". Whether the death of the two is permanent remains unclear - since at least the super fighter is resurrected in the last scene of the film.
