The Amateur Sky Survey

The Amateur Sky Survey (TASS) is a loose collaboration of amateur and professional astronomers led by Michael Richmond.

Catalog

The TASS tenxcat catalog is a star catalog that includes approximately 367,000 stars near the celestial equator . The catalog is a result of the The Amateur Sky Survey project (TASS). Technically, it is based on the Mark III camera system from Ton Droege.

  • For the stars there are about 30 measurements each in the V, I and R bands.
  • Its astronomical accuracy is 1–2 arcsec .
