The Babyshakers

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Babyshakers are a Dutch ska band.

Band history

The Babyshakers were founded in 2000 by Liverpool- born ska musician Mark Foggo , André Stuivenberg ( Mr. Review ), René Beaart (The Mighty Jackals) and Anna Wodka (The Serial Skankers). The debut album "Shake The Baby" was released in 2001 on Skanky'Lil Records in Antwerp (Belgium). Extensive tours through Europe followed, particularly the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France. As a result, a 4-track EP was recorded and some songs were contributed for various samplers, for example for the United Colors of Ska series by the German ska label Pork Pie Records. From 2003 only a few concerts followed. The babyshakers' music is a mix of two-tone ska , rockabilly and rock 'n' roll .
