The buttons ( English for the buttons are) two small islands off the Graham Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . They are located 320 m northwest of Galíndez Island in the group of Argentine islands of the Wilhelm Archipelago .
The islands were mapped and named descriptively after their appearance in 1935 during the British Graham Land Expedition (1934–1937) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer John Rymill .
