The Cabox is a mountain in the west of the Canadian island of Newfoundland . It is located right on the coast, about 30 km west of the town of Corner Brook . With a height of 812 m , The Cabox is Newfoundland's highest mountain. It forms the main peak of the Lewis Hills in the Long Range Mountains .
The mountain was formed by plate tectonics in the Precambrian when the supercontinent Rodinia broke up 570 million years ago .
