The Celtic View is a weekly club magazine of the Scottish football club Celtic Glasgow . First published on August 11, 1965, the club newspaper is the oldest in the United Kingdom .
The magazine from Celtic is based on an idea of the later chairman of the association Jack McGinn . McGinn initially received a £ 600 loan from the club to cover paper costs. The circulation rose in the following years to 26,000 copies. Today the magazine has 72 pages with over 6,000 readers per week, making it one of the best-selling football club newspapers in Great Britain.
