The Edge of Quarrel is an American independent film from 2000 set in the Seattle punk / hardcore scene .
action
When Brian Johansen (Rocky Votolato) returned to his hometown Seattle after a few years of absence, the local punk / hardcore scene changed. It is divided into punks and straight edgers , who resolve their conflicts with physical violence. Brian's best childhood friends are now the leaders of the two rival gangs. Brian sets out to reunite the scene and remind the two camps of their common roots.
occupation
The no-budget film completely dispenses with professional actors. Instead, the actors, who are themselves part of the punk / hardcore scene, give it its special authenticity: Rocky Votolato is known as a member of Waxwing and as a solo artist, John Pettibone sang for the straight-edge band Undertow and Dann Gallucci plays for the Murder City Devils .
Awards
Audience Choice Award at MicroCineFest 2000: Second place for “Best Feature”.
