The four pennies
The Four Pennies were a British pop band from the early 1960s .
The formation was founded in Blackburn , England . Lead singer Lionel Morton had sung in the church choir there for seven years - a good prerequisite for his later leading role in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar . In October 1963, the Four Pennies got their first record deal. In 1964 her first single "Do You Want Me To?" Was released , and it immediately hit the British charts. The second single Juliet was her greatest success and reached number 1 on the charts . The group disintegrated in mid-1966.
