The Gores Group
The Gores Group, LLC is a US private equity firm based in Los Angeles . The company was founded in 1987 by Alec E. Gores , who continues to serve as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman. To date, the Gores Group has been involved in over 60 companies with combined sales of over $ 15 billion. Currently (May 2009) Gores manages around 1.7 billion US dollars in equity, including investments in Sagem Communications and Unify.
The Gores Group received attention in the German-speaking media when it took over 51% of Siemens Enterprise Communications in summer 2008.
