The Insider (magazine)

The Insider is a Russian-language internet newspaper based in Russia . It was founded in November 2013 by the political scientist and political activist Roman Alexandrowitsch Dobrochotow . The Insider specializes in investigative research, some of which it carries out in cooperation with the research network Bellingcat (for example on the shooting down of Malaysia Airlines flight 17 ).

On November 10, 2017, Der Insider received the Council of Europe's Innovation in Democracy Prize . It was also awarded the Free Media Award 2019 from the Zeit Foundation .
