Permanent exhibition

The Kennedy Collection is one of the world's most extensive amalgamations of photographic works, official documents, private papers and belongings of the Kennedy family. The approximately 300 photos and objects on display, many of which were formerly owned by the Kennedy family, show the private and political life of members of the Kennedy family, their successes and strokes of fate, their social commitment, their political work. The museum, supplemented by media components, sees itself as a homage to the Kennedy clan.

The permanent exhibition is complemented by changing temporary exhibitions.

Emergence

In 2004, "The Kennedys" was first presented as a formal collection in the Berlin photo gallery Camera Work . The echo in the media and the number of visitors prompted Camera Work to design and develop this comprehensive permanent exhibition in collaboration with a team dedicated to this topic under the direction of an experienced historian from the John F. Kennedy Institute at Freie Universität Berlin .
