The Lateness of the Hour is the debut album by British singer-songwriter Alex Clare . It was first released on July 8, 2011 as a download and three days later on CD. So far, three singles from this album have been released, Up All Night first, Treading Water third and Too Close second. This was used by Internet Explorer 9 as a promotional song, making the song known to a larger audience and reaching number one in the charts in Germany, among other places.
