The Mighty Sleepwalkers are a Belgian - German band from Aachen .
history
The band was founded in the mid-1990s by Eupeners Klaus Niessen (vocals, cajon) and Luc Meessen (guitar) as well as Achim Jenik (double bass) from Aachen . In their early years the band played purely acoustically and deliberately did without a drummer. In 1998 the trio was expanded to a quartet by the drummer Bernd vom Dorp. In May 1999 the band signed a contract with the record company EMI and released the two singles Smile (1999) and So Many Things (2000). Frank Lennartz has been playing bass / double bass since 2000. From 2001 to 2006 the musicians worked as a backing band for the pop group Wonderwall . The guitarists of the Mighty Sleepwalkers in the meantime were the ex- heavytones guitarist Philip Niessen as well as Dominik Friede, Bengt Jablonski, Michael Peger and Roland Rongen.
